Re: On religion (in particular Christianity), rationality, and this forum - are we allowed to discuss it?

Let me ask you a genuine question: Why is God not meeting me halfway? I mean it when I say that all I want is proof. So, omnipotent being - created the universe - can do anything. OK, lets take this as established fact. Then what him stopping him from just snapping his fingers and letting me know t...

Re: What video games are you playing?

Noita.

It's brutally hard, but quite fun. You're a witch or spellcaster who relies on wands, and must delve deep into a cave, mines, and more, all to accomplish a goal your character can't fully remember or understand at the start.

Re: Sic Transit Vir

Do centauri still have the "human" reproductive organs as well as the tentacles or is just the tentacles and the female holes they go into? Centauri are born right? That means their females have normal vaginas and ovaries, right? Something similar to the vagina must exist. Babies must come from som...

Re: Cyberpunk 2077

I have played the game. #1 The Transphobic stuff is bullshit, I'm sorry it just is, hell the subject is never even brought in game, and you can actively play a trans character if you so choose, and yes you even have an available romance option. #2 Did anyone else pre-order Skyrim like I did? Yep I ...

Re: Requests Temporarily Re-opened...

If you want non-anime animation, I'd recommend Avatar: The Last Airbender. I've been watching through that on Netflix and it's actually pretty well-written, has good action, arguably the best fictional magic system I've yet seen, and some genuinely good (and bad, and funny) moments in it. It's the ...

I've kept up with the reviews over the years, and don't have much spare time right now, though maybe I will go back over the reviews eventually.

Re: Nemesis Games

This looks like a good book delving into the various character's pasts.

Part 4 also explains a LOT of why that character (Sorry, I forget her name) is so messed up and selfish at times:

F.L.E.A.S. from being abused by a narcissist. (FLEAS = Frightful Lingering Effects of Abuse.)

Re: Unpopular opinions/going against the grain of the conventional wisdom, let's talk about it

Final Fantasy 7 is just a decent RPG that benefitted from a LOT of hype, and being a LOT of player's first RPG. It's NOT bad, but it's only defining because of the timing. I missed FF7, but started my RPG gaming with Skies of Arcadia, and Skies has become my benchmark for a quality RPG. (Skies of Ar...

Re: Cyberpunk 2077

I want to be interested in Cyberpunk 2077, but I lost most of my hype and developed a case of Hype Aversion during the last couple years of massive promotion and buildup to the release. I haven't played it myself, but what I have seen on a friend's stream was good... after the initial couple days of...

Re: What's the last book you've read?

Monster Hunter Memoirs: Grunge. It's a fun book, though many people won't like the main character, it's a book where you're not supposed to 100% like the main character (though you do sympathize with him at certain times), and it's stated that the main character is puffing himself up a bit in his me...
