Re: Reaching Out Across the Aisle
Geez, did you go to a south Jersey school? Because exchange concussion for broken arm and it sounds like me in school. (Snip) So in summation. I tend to agree with you. The system needs to be reworked before more funding is applied. I went to a western Pennsylvania school. So not far from New Jerse...

Re: Reaching Out Across the Aisle
Okay. We've both put in good faith efforts. We've talked and listened. Nevix, I am going to make an educated guess about why you've been stabbed in the hand so many times, why you get blocked or banned or canceled for being conservative. I don't speak for all leftists or Democrats in this respect, ...

Re: X-Files - Drive
I remember this episode, though I was a little too young at the time to catch the negative traits of the victim.
It's a good episode.

Re: Wrath of Khan discussion
This is a great review of a great movie. I can add nothing to it beyond compliments for the successes of both the review and movie.

Re: Should Chuck Reboot is Mass Effect 2 Review?
Since I love the Mass Effect 2 review, I have to say "No." Also... it's a ton of work too, as others have mentioned. I also agree that I would love to see a Mass Effect 3 review from Chuck too. Last of all, regarding the bad ME3 ending... The guy who leaked the original Dark Matter/Suns Going Out en...

Re: TNG - Half a Life
I just want to note that Euthanasia based on old age was a big subject during the 90s (around about the early to mid 90s), and it has popped up again more recently.
Not engaging in the discussion. I just wanted to note that it really was a subject at the time for Chuck.

Re: Reaching Out Across the Aisle
I also feel that Christian values are fundamentally incompatible with capitalism, which by its very nature empowers the powerful and stomps on the meek. "Capitalism" is freedom to buy, sell, and create as you want/need to, with the only restrictions needed being those prohibiting monopolies, worker...

Re: Reaching Out Across the Aisle
Nevix, your position on Obama is indicative of how far the gap is between us. Speaking as a leftist, we hated how much Obama was compromising. We saw him as a president more committed to some image of Bipartisanship than to achieving legislative goals. I don't think he really got much done until he...

Re: Reaching Out Across the Aisle
Okay now...given the breadth and range of our political beliefs and their natural outgrowths, how do we respond to each other's statements of purpose without spinning this thread off in a dozen different directions? =S I didn't really think this through. I'm not sure we can prevent that from happen...
