Strange New Worlds Season 2

This forum is for discussing Chuck's videos as they are publicly released. And for bashing Neelix, but that's just repeating what I already said.

Probably not, actually. No reason to when it's socially acceptable to use the holodeck for that kind of thing.
Well sometimes the Holodeck's booked.

Please don't tell me that the Enterprise no A, B, C, D, E, F or G has a holodeck now.

Voyager already effed up its continuity by making out that Janeway used to visit Flotter as a kid, but it absolutely flies in the face of TNG season one to suggest that this tech is mid-23rd century.

As an aside, I'm not sure that it is socially acceptable to use the holodeck for banging. Quark's holosuite was always met with eye rolls. And both TNG and DS9 was actually rather anti-holodeck when it came to personal interactions. Troi and Riker would absolutely tell you to go and get yourself a real woman.
We used to argue whether Star Trek or Star Wars was better. Now we argue which one is worse.

No this is Boimler from post-DS9 Lower Decks, and the Cerritos is a LOT more casual about what kind of thing. Probably where they got that "horniest crew in the fleet" title.

Well, in The Practical Joker episode from TAS there was the Rec Room which was almost a Holodeck... But we're talking about the Cerritos (the ship from Lower Decks) which does have a holodeck.

I mean, relatively speaking, it's socially acceptable. Like, Riker might deride people for making a hologirl to sleep with, but someone today might deride people for watching porn or using a fleshlight. At the same time, the most Brahms could do about Geordi making a holocopy of her was to get mad, not press charges.

Yeah, the attitude is, "Masturbating to my picture" not "making deepfakes and publishing them."

Agreed, as we saw at the vineyard he'ss just not wired that way.

The only one of the Lower Decks four who I could see with a pinup poster is Marriner.

I mean Boimler is SUPER horny. He wrote a giant sex story into his Epic Movie for himself and we have the Risa planet and his girlfriend.

He was oblivious not uninterested.

I was disappointed that it was animated in the LD style instead of the TAS style, since they've made it clear that this era looked that way in LD. Feels like a missed opportunity to be consistent with what they themselves established.

Might have been too many layers to the joke.
