Re: The final countdown.

If I was going to go back in time and kill Hitler, I'd do it during WWI. There might be moral issues in killing a baby, but killing a soldier in the midst of war isn't going to raise too many questions.

Re: Star Trek Discovery: The Trouble With Edward

I wonder if one can reconcile the Tribble's variable breeding capability with the following timeline: Tribbles are on their homeworld, reproducing like crazy and being eaten by the local predators. Enterprising exotic animal tradesman picks up a few and transports them to the wider galaxy. Tribbles ...

Re: PUNISH RIKER

Where he got duplicated and the duplicate spent years alone on a planet completely forgotten. Or maybe it was the original that got left behind and the Enterprise had the duplicate. Or they both have equal claims of being William Riker and so William Riker spent years alone and isolated while from h...

Re: Schedule Change

It was a missed opportunity not to do anything Star Wars related on May 4. But with everything being so hectic, I can understand why.

Re: Black Mirror: USS Callister

I guess the reason some people might take umbrage at the Daly portrayal, is because while he might not represent what they or anyone they know are, he can be seen as a representation of what they think others think they are. As a comparison, in Psychonauts had starkly different portrayals of Raz's d...

Re: Spider-Man: TAS - I Really, Really Hate Clones

Spider Carnage makes me think of the African proverb:
'The child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth'.

Re: Spider-Man: TAS - I Really, Really Hate Clones

You know, it must suck to live in a universe where it's possible to destroy it and all of reality. You're just minding your own business, doing your own thing, when boom, some asshole 8 billion light years away and from a universe where the hive-minded lobster people evolved on your planet instead o...

Re: B5: And Now For a Word

I also remember watching some Lore Reloaded videos and seemed to be under the idea that an anti-Minbari bioweapon could be easily produced and used against the Minbari as a means of winning the conflict. That was definitely a plan on the table - Earth wanted to develop a bioweapon and Franklin was ...

Re: B5: And Now For a Word

I remember various claims on SpaceBattles that the Earth-Minbari War wrecked the Minbari economy as Earthforce was able to target the Minbari Merchant fleet. I have no idea where this concept came from outside of fanfic, as I have only once ever heard of the Minbari Merchant fleet, and admittedly, i...
