Somebody on Reddit drew comparisons between The Expanse and Firefly. I admit, the similarity of characters alone, invites comparison between the shows but are they more alike than not?

Completely agree. Some of the best television I've seen since B5.

I read on Reddit that tonight's Expanse will be a two hour special with limited commercials. It starts at 9:00pm EDT and concludes at about 10:30 or so. Just in case you thought the season finale would be shown over two parts in two weeks, it's a one night show.

I re-watched last week's ep and you're absolutely right. It was the grenade guy who got deconstituted. Sometimes the action moves too quickly for these old eyes. It takes me sometimes three or four re-watches before I catch certain pertinent details. Speaking of "old," what's the story with Ashford?...

But why only him? Why wasn't the rest of the team broken down to their constituent atoms like that guy? I'd hafta watch the scene again but could it be because he fired first? Did any of the other martians take a shot?

RottenTomatoes' YouTube channel sometimes features sneak peeks of upcoming eps. Yes, a lot of people got clobbered. Seriously wondering even more weren't killed. Watched this week's ep two or three times. Still scratching my head about the "nucleus" bits and the cryptic conversations with the Miller...

Regarding last night's ep, what the serious F**K?!?!?!?!?!?! I don't even know where to begin.

It's amazing the stuff ya pick up on repeat viewing isn't it?

My wife bought seasons 1 & 2 of the series for me a couple of weeks ago. Already binged through the whole series and planning on doing it again next week.
