Re: Orville - Old Wounds
I'm sure I'm not the first person to have this observation but when I first saw the Orville itself my first thought was " Did the Sophons make that?"

Re: Discovery: Choose Your Pain
I do wonder if I would've immediately spotted them had I not been participating in discussion forums for the show though. That's sort of a problem with shows in the information age- if you talk to dozens of people at once, obviously someone's going to figure it out ahead of time, because the writer...

Re: My Little Pony: Springier Equine-Ox Bloc
TL;DR Hasbro isn't Disney. They make toys first and cartoons to market them second. All very true, but I think it's important to note as well, and I believe this was your intention in any case, Since this all started with Alacard complaining about people examining the story elements of twilight's h...

Re: My Little Pony: Springier Equine-Ox Bloc
Honestly find your argument fairly weak Alucard, since it basically boils down to "Hasbro is a toy company", while everyone else has pointed out how it makes sense and works from a story perspective. Another reason is even if you could prove it was mandated by Hasbro, it doesn't automatically follow...

Re: Babylon 5: Deathwalker
^ Well, we know that's not true, because JMS explicitly said several times that the "sleeper agent" thing had been planned for Talia from the start. He'd actually originally planned to give it to Takashima, as a way to write her off at the end of Season 1, since Tomita didn't want to stay for more ...

Re: Star Trek (Dis): The Butcher's Knife Cares Not for the Lamb's Cry
Like the security officer in this STD episode. Nobody cares that she died. She showed up, had some lines, did something stupid while attempting to appear all badass, and died, having served her purpose to the plot. so, basically, she died just like any other red-shirt. Wasn't there some red shirt t...

Re: Babylon 5: Deathwalker
That was always my understanding; she got mind-wiped, Kosh had a mind-backup of her, she eventually would have been restored by Kosh, and that's how she would become his acolyte. My understanding is that the actress started being a prima donna, JMS got sick of her, and Patricia Tallman suddenly bec...

Re: Babylon 5: Deathwalker
iirc. psychic powers never naturally occurred, rather the vorlons did some genetic manipulation of primitive species I'm not sure if it was ever stated that they couldn't occur naturally, just that the Vorlons sped up the processes in some species and probably gave it to some species that weren't g...

Re: Babylon 5: Deathwalker
The Dilgar never 'made their own sun go nova', they started trying to conquer other worlds in order to find a suitable new home because their sun was going nova. In one of the Babylon 5 tabletop rpg's and some of the fan stuff they apparently succeeded even though they lost the war, there is one re...
