Re: Which Trek creator (writer, producer, etc) do you think was weakest on continuity world-building?
If you are burnt out and producing bad stories, you should leave. Braga didn't, in fact he took on more and more responsibility. I thought we were talking about weakness in continuity? Writing some of Star Trek's all time worst episodes and running a veritable continuity-breaking machine in Enterpri...

Re: Which Trek creator (writer, producer, etc) do you think was weakest on continuity world-building?
Bryan Fuller is someone whose writing I'd call anaemic more than anything else. Lisa Klink is similar but she has "Message In A Bottle". Neither has anything offensively bad (your mileage may vary for "Spirit Folk" - I literally can't remember a thing about it). Kenneth Biller has some horrific garb...

Alex Kurtzman, JJ Abrams and Bryan Fuller.
Nu Trek (yes, I know Fuller is not purely Nu trek) notwithstanding ...
Brannon Braga, hands down.

Re: Terminator: Dark Fate: Almost Great (Spoilers)
I'm with Yuka. T1 was a genuinely great film with a satisfying causal loop. T2 is well-made, sure, but it's a typical sequel; playing out the plot of the first film with a pointless twist. T1: Stable Time Loop (Bootstrap Paradox Notwithstanding) T2: Judgement Day Averted T3 & T4: Judgement Day Actua...

Re: The Planned Star Wars Trilogy is Dead
David Benioff and Dan Weiss mishandled the greatest American fantasy series in existence, they are up-jumped rich kids, the very definition of failing upwards, and canning them (there's no way they were too "busy" for the opportunity of a lifetime) is the smartest thing Lucasfilm has done since thei...

Re: Just For Fun What are Your Least Favorite Star Wars Stories?
The Force Awakens: Pointlessly regressed the character of Han Solo, ruined the character of Luke Skywalker (no, I don't think the blame lies with TLJ), undermined all the achievements of the original heroes, at its very best it feels like the OT in a half-remembered fever dream, nonsensical plot, in...

Re: The Final Star Wars Trailer
Have fun wading through straight-to-dvd 'Star Wars' films that were just unrelated scripts that somebody thought would make a couple of bucks more if the main character was Luke Skywalker. This already happens with plenty of copyrighted works. Have you seen the Hellraiser franchise? After the fourt...

Re: The difference between TNG & STD
What is Short Treks? What are some of the stories? I mean, if it requires paying CBS All Access money, I won't do it. I need more time before I come back to this franchise, and ignoring that, I can't spread myself too far in terms of which streaming service I pay for. That is only going to help the...

Re: The difference between TNG & STD
It's why I made my review thread for Season 1 and Season 2. I felt like I had to make a, "This is not a thread about DISCO raping your childhood" thread. I never accused Discovery of raping my childhood, and I even said that your review was fair. I don't know why I'm obliged to like Short Trek. For...
