Re: Lower Decks: A Look at We'll Always Have Tom Paris

I'd mock Tom thinking a Kazon got to the Alpha Quadrant... but those cabbage heads TENDED to be pretty far out. I think even the show runner for Voyager pointed out that they should have left Kazon space a long time ago but the Kazon were still on their tail. They made it to Tars Lamora (which is s...

Re: TNG: Sins of the Father

Late to the party, I know, but there could be a more political reason for Worf to pick Picard. Perhaps they all believe that a Klingon assassin would be less likely to make a move on such a high profile Starfleet officer.

Re: VOY: Dragon's Teeth

I can buy that the Borg might not have been much of a threat to the Vaadwaur a millennium ago. If the Borg had truly been as we know them now for hundreds of centuries then they honestly should've long since conquered the galaxy. I'm guessing they had their set backs, their lulls, their dark ages. T...

Re: Stargate: Atlantis - Brain Storm

So for this episode Stargate filmed a "Bill Nye the Science Guy"-style wrap-up ending. In the end they decided not to use it because they felt it would make the whole thing feel too much like self-parody, but it was included as a deleted scene on the season's DVD release.

Re: Planet of the apes

The Statue being moved also makes sense when you remember that the latter three movies seemingly take place in LA and it's heavily implied that Caesar's settlement in those movies is supposed to be the early days of Ape City from the first two movies. Although its canonicity with the movies is quest...

Re: [DS9] Sons of Mogh

Kurn does reappear, but only in Beta-Canon (and voiced by Tony Todd): [...] Rodek appears in the game Star Trek Online as a General in the Klingon Defense Force, joining the player in battle against Tzenkethi forces. Following the mission to liberate Martok from his imprisonment at a Son'a facility...

Re: [DS9] Sons of Mogh

I kinda have some issues with the mind wipe simply because it was a direct circumvention around Kurn's wishes that I really doubt he would've agreed to. But I'm willing to accept that as, for lack of a better term, a flaw in Worf's character, not a flaw in the episodes writing. He's just not able to...

Re: Interested in Star Trek Online Playthroughs?

So I just played "The Fujiwhara Effect". It was a fun enough episode, the timeline seemed a little wonky to me. When we were going through Emperor Wesley's memories, some of the stuff that was happening seemed like it should've been taking place during the time period where the Terran Empire had fal...

Re: The Christmas Episode

I wonder what's coming in the new year? I'm hoping for more Stargate. Specifically, SGU. It is long overdue that Chuck gives Stargate: Enterprise a once over. I always said that if Chuck ever gets around to reviewing the SGU pilot, the most accurate review he could give it would just be a 90 minute...

Re: Star Trek: Prodigy

I was really hoping at the end when the kids ask Holo-Janeway to tell them about the real Janeway, she would start recounting the events of "Threshold" to them.
