Has anyone ever done a Myriad Universes story about the Soong Augments occupying the Bak'u?

I think having deadly viral particles for study makes a lot more sense than say, the modern Federation genetically engineering Dawson cast little kids with psychic powers and Pulaski killing immune systems.

So, why are the Augments in this arc dressed in that sort of space-punk tattered rags style? The reason Khan's people were dressed like that in Wrath was that they were marooned on a devastated planet for decades.
