Re: Babylon 5: TKO

Apparently, taking time to slow down and develop the characters in a more focused way, without having to worry as much about an overarching plot, is dull, boring and pointless. Yeah, I like Grail as well, I like a lot of Season 1 over Season 2. I like the in-depth looks, the character pieces. I lite...

Re: Dragon Age II: EA boogaloo

I'm about ready to just quit watching the reviews after yelling so many expletives at Part 3 for just how completely unfunny and unwanted the 'in character' bits got. Really... Turns out I paused right before pulling the Weinstein card, and calling BioWare 'fucking assholes'. So guess what, the glov...

Re: Dragon Age II: EA boogaloo

Actually I do have something to say about the topic itself.

The 'RP' is still cringey as ever. Yet to hit Imperial Agent bad, but definitely getting there. Sorry, just not funny at all.

Re: Dragon Age II: EA boogaloo

I've only played KotOR 2 with the RC mod, so I guess I can't comment a whole lot on how much it improves. Personally I think Kreia is vastly overrated, I dislike preachy, overwritten characters that have so much to say it just feels like I'm being lectured and oh dear lord please stop talking alread...

Re: Hope and Fear

In response to the post above, I feel like that's the result of Trek writers as a whole not actually nailing down how the holodeck works. I know in Voyager they went more for 'hard light' explanation, but Night seemed to push the 'replicated matter' explanation that was seen more in TNG. So yeah, wh...

Re: ST(Films): Nemesis

Looking back at that mess after a long night's sleep, I think I can deduce a few key points. 1. Don't let it be Wrath of Khan II. Just putting Sela as the main antagonist would be a step in the wrong direction. I think it would be a much better separation from previous movies to keep her as the mani...

Re: ST(Films): Nemesis

I think that would depend on whether or not to count Insurrection as canon as well. I am utterly 100% convinced that Janeway made Admiral before Picard because of his actions in that movie being so idiotic and counterintuitive to the best interests of the Alpha Quadrant, that Starfleet brushed it al...

Re: Babylon 5: The Quality of Mercy

I'm still not understanding why the consensus is that Season 1 'isn't very good'. Overall it's the season I go back to most to watch, for having such varied plots and all these bits of worldbuilding scattered throughout, whereas Season 2 in particular had a lot of 'arrogant douchebag of the week' th...

Surprised there wasn't a larger rant about there being an actual live cow, given all the fuss kicked up about an 'offscreen juggler'...

Re: B7: Seek - Locate - Destroy

As I recall, the Feds had specialized sensors in the fenced off area that would've prevented them from teleporting in. Presumably going in through the gate puts out a localised 'all clear' signal, so they'd have to get access there anyway. And yes, Colin Baker played 'Baban the Butcher' in the Seaso...
