Re: TNG - The Ensigns of Command

I actually kind of agree with the first two paragraphs. The third however has really taken a battering in recent years. Palpatine isn't Q or the Organians, but he is at survives ''being thrown down a 1000 foot shaft, and have a Death Star blow up in his face, and have Death Star crash to Endor, and...

Re: VOY - Night

Back in the fifties and sixties they thought ESP might be an actual scientific thing, and well into the seventies too. ESP as a supposed scientific phenomena took a long time to die as a concept. There is a reason we see Venkman using an ESP test in Ghostbusters in the eighties, it was pretty much ...

Re: TNG - Reunion

Also, wasn't Minsk (the city Worf grew up in) in Belarus, not Russia? Then again Belarus means something like "white Russians" so saying he's going to live in a Russian winter is probably still accurate. The episode came out in 1990 according to IMDB. Belarus had just become independent a few month...

Is it me or did Mercy never catch on like Harley did, maybe it the outfit.
IDK about Mercy in comics, but she was around for 2019's Reign of the Supermen movie, still as Lex Luthor's primary henchwoman. So she's a decently long-running character.

Re: Dragon Age: Inquisition

The first time I played the game I did all the sidequests and 100%ed the damn thing. It was not a great experience. Especially nonsense like collecting all 100? of those stupid shards for what was ultimately a really lousy reward. That's basically the opposite of how I tend to play games like Mass ...

Re: DIS - Through the Valley of the Shadow

Also in the episode "Ethics" Worf's spinal cord was crushed by a barrel and either needed aid from neurological devices strapped to his thighs (which didn't fully give him back control), or a dangerous procedure still in testing and with only a success rate of thirty-seven percent. So I do agree th...

Re: DIS - The Red Angel

They put a bomb under the Klingon homeworld that would've blown it up. I don't see how I can give any more evidence or reasoning than restating what was actually said and done on the show, and giving the closest possible real-life comparisons . Everything I add to that will be superfluous. Your "co...

Re: DIS - The Red Angel

Who said a damn thing about Britain? You said a damn thing about Britain. The post I quoted had you making the analogy that Michael's behavior "...is tantamount to the UK putting a thermonuclear city-buster bomb under Kabul after the invasion of Afghanistan, then giving the big red button to Ayman ...
