Re: TNG - Devil's Due
It was just hidden, Ardra's ship just extended their cloaking field around it so it couldn't be seen. Pretty sure they say that's the case in the episode itself. Transporter beam was down it was true and communications were likely being interfered with but it probably wasn't as bad as it initially ...

Re: TNG - Devil's Due
But it wasn't disabled, merely hidden. It's been awhile since I've seen the episode granted but they either used the Enterprise D to mimic the tricks Arda was doing or the Enterprise D captured Arda's ship, once it was found and used their stuff to do it. At most they were inconvenienced for an hou...

Re: TNG - Devil's Due
https://sfdebris.com/videos/startrek/t187.php I have to admit I have a soft spot for Devil's Due. Oh its goofy alright, and its roots as a TOS script are blatantly obvious even with its rewrites, but unlike a lot of TNG's other attempts at a lighter stories, it never felt particularly obnoxious or ...

Re: Not Secure website
Hi. That's a change that web browsers, such as Chrome, have made to indicate which sites you are connecting to without an encrypted connection. Used to non-encrypted was the norm for most sites, but for various reasons browser makers have been encouraging everyone to move to encrypted connections. S...

Re: Milky Way galaxy far more massive than previously thought
you do know Andromeda is gonna collide with us in the near cosmic future right? Billions of years from now, yes. With that being an estimated 1/3 of the current age of the universe or farther in the future, that's still quite a little while in cosmic terms. :) Everything I've read in the past has s...

Milky Way galaxy far more massive than previously thought
It is amazing how quickly new discoveries about the cosmos are coming out these days. My thanks to everyone involved in finding such creative ways to explore the universe right from our own little blue planet. https://medium.com/starts-with-a-bang/could-the-milky-way-be-more-massive-than-andromeda-3...

Personally, I'm all for freeing the nipple. ;) Because freedom, and totally no other reason. Maybe I'm just being American, but I'd much rather we put the male nipple back in its chains. I mean seriously, eww. You mean like this right? Those do have their uses. http://www.therimbastore.co...

Re: Spacedock Critique of Star Trek
I posted a thread with his video about his sterning on Riker. I disagreed with it, but it's apparently a controversial topic. Chain of Command seems to be a polarizing topic. I've not watched in it forever because I don't enjoy it, so I don't take a strong stance on it. Best I recall, I thought Rik...

Re: Is X-Files really sci-fi?
And realistically, different writers have different takes on the character and what motivates her. Beyond the Sea is how Morgan and Wong see it, but that doesn't mean Cris Carter, Darin Morgan, Vince Gilligan, etc. all see her the same way. It always seemed to me that more than anything, she was tr...
