Re: Atlantis: 38 minutes.
I don't know - I simply didn't see it this way. This is one of my favorite episodes of the series, and Weir making bad decisions simply didn't affect my assessment of it. After all, in her argument with Rodney she is unequivocally presented as being wrong. (I might be wrong, but I seem to remember a...

Re: Atlantis: 38 minutes.
I honestly don't see why Weir being a bad leader is a problem. It's definitely the truth - she makes a lot of terrible decisions. And "you people deserve the bad things that happen to you"? That's unquestionably true throughout the series! Why does a character having a flaw harm the episode as a who...

Re: 5ive Days to Midnight
I only just watched part 4 (the RSS feed doesn't alert me if a new video is added to an already-existing page, and I forgot about it), so I'm a bit late to the party here. But Mandy's fast funeral arrangements have a perfectly reasonable explanation: she could be Jewish. Judaism mandates that a dead...

Re: Star Trek (DS9): The Quickening
"That One Where Worf Breaks His Spine That I Can't Remember The Name Of" Ethics. "That One With The EMH Diagnostic Program In It" The Swarm, I think? **** Actually, this list is missing quite a lot of medical drama-like episodes from Voyager. Since the Doctor was the breakout character, they dipped...

Re: Things you are looking forward to SF Debris bringing up in future reviews
I want his thoughts on the blaming of Michael Burnham for starting the war with the Klingons. To me it's exceedingly obvious that the Klingons came into Federation space with the intention of starting a war, and that they everything they did (from attacking the relay, to planting their religious art...

I simply like the Prime Directive analysis that accompanied the Dear Doctor review. It makes so many good points I even wrote a song based on it.

Re: Star Trek (Dis): Battle at the Binary Stars
I'm shocked that the review didn't discuss my strongest objection to this episode: that planting bombs in enemy dead bodies is a war crime. This is normally smack in the middle of SFDebris's wheelhouse, pointing out how severely unethical the supposedly super-ethical Federation is.

SG1: Seth
Wow, that was a far more generous review than I would have made. My answers to the questions of "How did Seth stay hidden on Earth for so long?" and "How does he still have modern technology" were more along the lines of "the writers were lazy". Between that and the presence of the Tok'ra, who I hav...
