Re: Ghostwatch
I've started a dedicated Extreme Ghostbusters Thread for discussions of that show and its reviews. https://sfdebris.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&p=91508#p91508 Thanks Crypticmirror Although watching the review on Extreme Ghostbusters he did hint at Saturday's review being difficult to suspend disbel...

Re: Extreme Ghostbusters: Darkness At Noon pt1
I had a look at the wiki page on the episode: "The Sphinx" and it's 39 according to that. 45 would be more believable though.HumanXeroxMachine wrote: ↑Mon Oct 26, 2020 7:37 pm I want to say Egon was 45 in Extreme Ghostbusters as iirc The Real Ghostbusters made his birth year 1957.

Re: Extreme Ghostbusters: Darkness At Noon pt1
A later episode where it kept emphasizing how Egon was "too old" to be a Ghostbuster (ie: in his 30s) stuck in my craw at the time it first aired, and now well, even more so! But besides that, it's pretty good. I do miss the boppin' 80s background music of the original, but the 90s one was going mo...

Re: Ghostwatch
I'm mostly a lurker on these forums, but I must step out of the shadows for one moment. Ghostwatch? Chuck's going to review Ghostwatch? This thing is legendary here in the UK, but I'm not sure how big it is over there in the US. It's right up there in the urban legend stakes with the Orson Wells Wa...

Re: I ain't afraid of no ghost week.
Really looking forward to the Ghostwatch analysis- I haven't seen it since it first aired way back on BBC 1 in the early 90s. As a kid it definitely left an impression, and I remember the tabloid uproar it caused afterwards. I do wonder if it still holds up. I don't think it does. First, knowing th...

Re: Doctor Who: The Talons of Weng-Chiang
From the looks of it on my end (the UK) spotify does have the behind the scenes tracks available on the free version. What it doesnt have however is the Companion Chronicle "The Mahogany Murderers" which was the pilot for the series and introduced the series 1 overarching villain- Dr Tulp. A Moriart...

Re: Doctor Who: The Talons of Weng-Chiang
The comments about the two versions of Watson reminds me of this comic from Hark, a Vagrant: http://www.harkavagrant.com/history/watsonsm.png Nigel Bruce's Watson was a lot more comedic than canon Watson but to be honest Bruce's charisma still made that version tolerable. From what I remember Bruce...
