Re: The Guyver Review
Alright, this is me being picky...but..why did they changed the Zoalord's name from Hamilcar Barcas to Fulton Balcus? I mean, Hamilton Burgess is a closer name, no? It's actually a name, at least. The other two sound like someone trying to get at it by guessing, but being entirely unfamiliar with c...

Re: The Guyver Review
Damn shame what they did to Guyver. For a series that's basically a darker take and outright deconstruction of Kamen Rider (Chronos is basically a more competent Shocker that they have agents and sleepers almost everywhere..and that's why in the manga, Chronos actually managed to conquer Earth prett...

Re: The Guyver Review
When Harmony Gold stops being a realty company that’s just sitting on a license they’re doing nothing with but sublicensing to others while deliberately blocking the domestic release of the new series’ belonging to one of the franchises that makes up Robotech. This. 100% this. I can't stand Harmony...

Re: Watership Down
So I was watching the Watership Down review and there was that bit that Chuck mentioned about rabbits stopping a flood...was wondering if he remembered Animals of Farthing Wood. Think Watership Down..except instead of rabbits, it's about a ragtag bunch of animals escaping after their homes was destr...

Re: Transformers - Call of the Primitives
Wow, I can't believe Chuck didn't even touch on the production side of this episode and why it has such drastically better animation quality then anything else in season three. That's usually the big appeal of the episode to most fans. It is a generally much more, well, animated episode - you get a...

Re: Transformers - Call of the Primitives
Thank God for the Japanese stuff that actually tried their level best...in the Generations manga, they had Primacron on trial for unleashing Tornedron on the galaxy and somewhat fixing the "Primacron being the inventor of Unicron bit" by stating something along the lines of "while a being is able to...

Re: Anime: Mobile Suit Gundam
Wasn't that Mayor's Daughter subplot also includes Kai? I think it was her death that led Kai into becoming the Universal Century version of James Bond in Zeta Gundam?
EDIT: Never mind, upon further inspection, that was some other lady...sorry.

Re: Anime: Mobile Suit Gundam
Down to defending with sasuages and nobody can shoot Char. Poor dumb Amuro? Well, not really yet, maybe if we get to Zeta.... I do like the discussion about war, since Gundam does often go into these themes in a pretty riveting fashion. Well, at least until Tomino goes crazy again (and that's a lot...
