Re: Hey will we ever get a Psycho janeway collection?

In the Friendship One review (around 5:12), when the alien accuses them of genocide, the footage of Janeway looking confused combined with his "[beat] You mean here specifically, or just in general?" cracks me up

The actor had burned all bridges with Star Trek's production staff by accusing Anthony Rapp (Stamets on DISCO) of lying about Kevin Spacey molesting him.
And so the writers decided to punish the fans instead. Cool.

Re: Star Trek: Lower Decks - No Small Parts

His point about the TYPE of added depth that retroactively improved Mariner's character is right on the money and incidentally describes the problem with so many recent protagonists.

Re: Trigun

Glad to see the return! And the payoff of those four episodes where Vash finally uses his gun. And yeah, that spinning the cylinder just to flick the gun closed and fire the last shot to finish off the giant is such an unspeakably cool moment. Sci-fi westerns aren't unusual, of course, but Trigun do...

Re: Lower Decks - Second Contact

Well... i'm bored. Its a lazy Saturday night and the Formula 1 is late today because its in Miami. And I thought ''lets watch this review. I don't watch New Trek so why not have my first dose of Lower Decks? That'll kill fifteen minutes. It can't be that bad, after all, plenty of people on this for...

Re: Lower Decks - "Moist Vessel"

I dunno that the tellarite captain being an idiot is more relatable, lol, but I know he didn't just mean him. As I said in the other thread, I found the first two episodes way too manic and this episode kind of gets back to that. None of the jokes have any time to land even if they're good. But this...

Re: Lower deck episode 3?

Yeah, the "captain" of the Federation flagship Enterprise-D would in all likelihood actually be an Admiral, with a Captain as an XO.

Re: Lower deck episode 3?

Starting later than the first couple episodes makes sense to me. I found the early episodes of season 1 to be WAY too manic. Even if a joke was funny, you had no time at all to actually enjoy it, because three more things had already happened. I thought it got a better about that later in the season...

Re: Knight Rider: Christmas Special

I believe the fact that KITT looked like Michael Long's stock Trans Am was supposed to be a coincidence, so that Michael would mistake it for his car. Now, whether the intention originally was that they fitted KITT into his specific car and that got quietly retconned with KARR, it's pretty easy to r...

Re: TNG - The Emissary

Yeah I have positive memories of this episode largely because I love the character of K'Ehleyr. Also after S1 it was nice to see Worf be, like, a person. With apologies to DS9, K'Ehleyr was always the best fit for Worf, imo. Their outlooks on both Klingonness and Humanity could have complemented eac...
