I've started American Gods by Neil Gaiman. After that, I'll move on to Good Omens.

Re: What video games are you playing?
I've become interested in Night in the Woods, though I presently don't have the money to buy it. Has anyone here played it and what do they think of it?

Re: Star Trek (TOS): The Ultimate Computer
Yep, those people always see the situation as though it's one of those movies where bad stuff happens, but the heroes (who they naturally are) win and they make the world better and everyone lives happily ever after, joyous in the knowledge that person x's philosophy was totally right and all the su...

Re: Star Trek (TOS): The Ultimate Computer
Like I said, no one would would like what would happen. Phew, that's good to hear you say. But there are people who think a massive disaster would be great. You've mentioned environmentalist misanthropy and, while not nearly as significant as some people make it out to be, is endorsed by some peopl...

Re: Star Trek (TOS): The Ultimate Computer
Don't you just love that wording: "what in the Western world are now considered child marriages.", as though he doesn't agree with that definition, or thinks that condemnation of such "marriages" (because, let's be honest, a more accurate name for it would be sexual slavery) is somehow wrong? As if...

Damn him and his Jojo memes! Seriously though, he is a total asshole, though he is the jerkass of the group and everyone dislik...

Re: Politics of the British Isles
"What does left equal in that case. If a pro gay marriage person starts talking like Mises or RP he won't ever be considered a leftist." While I'll let TRR give that a proper answer, I'll point out that "the left" is a very subjective thing. Plenty of European conservatives publicly support things l...

Re: War in Syria / Yemen
Actually, I am not applying the reasoning of "They're Middle Eastern, so they're against America". I do not consider it logical to trust that the US would act in a way that benefits the interests of the Syrian people. Even when the US government does want to help other nations, it does have an attit...

Re: War in Syria / Yemen
This isn't a race or religion thing - stop trying to make it one - this is a - we've spent the last decade and a half dropping bombs on their friends and families thing. I don't think any amount of planning can overcome that kind of justified malice. Those in the middle east have good substantive r...

Re: What video games are you playing?
I'm currently playing God Eater 2. Also, hopefully, I'll soon be replaying the first Zero Escape game, 999, if my copy of The Nonary games arrives today.
