Re: B5:There all honor lies

I never understood Lennier's plan in the end. It seems like he's freely swapping between the "public reputation" and "internal code" meanings of honor in a nonsensical way. He would retain honor by helping Ashan "save face" (which is literally just another word for external honor but that's the dia...

Re: TNG - The Mind's Eye

As to the spilled drink? Even in TNG, O'Brien must suffer. Treknology can play fast and loose with gravity or even conservation of mass, but some laws they can't just reverse polarity their way out of. Now that I've thought about it, I'm actually wondering if this isn't either (a) some toned-down b...

It's a weed joke - April 20th is National Weed Day, and considering that it's a guy who's actually named Stoner (as in the sense of someone who likes getting high on weed)...

Re: Shows I'd like to see Chuck review

Had another episode-specific idea: the original "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" with Shatner.

I think part of it was also that they just couldn't find a way to make a Justice Lord Flash believable.

Either "More Than a Bird" or "Superman" (I've seen both titles) by "Five for Fighting"
The official title (according to Wikipedia) is "Superman (It's Not Easy)".

Re: Shows I'd like to see Chuck review

For shows in general, I'd like to see his take on Stranger Things. For specific episodes, I'd like to see him do the JLU episode "For the Man Who Has Everything".

Yeah, that's not lost on me, TBH.

FWIW, I think it's pretty much a rehash of the original with some extra bits thrown in.

Re: Justice League: Panic In The Sky

I think Chuck said it best; Waller was so laser focused on the Justice League being a threat, she thought everyone was just as laser focused as she was. So she basically allowed a highly intelligent, unscrupulous, self-serving tech genius access to some of the most advanced technology on the planet...

Re: Most awesome SF Debris moment?

Using the original German version of "99 Luftballoons" for his review of "Darmok".

I also personally liked his little rant about the Ministry of Peace in his review of "In the Shadow of Z'ha'dum", as well as calling out the 'Roddenberry box' in "The Bonding".
