Re: SG1: There But For The Grace of God
The point isn't that Galaxy class ships are bad at combat it's that up until that point the enterprise had easily taken on all comers successfully and then a few small ships had taken it out even though the ship and crew were loaded for bear. It's the starship equivalent of the worf effect were the...

Re: Trek Moments You Can't Wait For Chuck to Talk About
I want to see "The Ensigns of Command" and see what Chuck says about Picard sticking it to the planet of lawyers. "A Matter of Perspective" and making comments about Riker's love life would be funny too! "Emergence" where the Enterprise becomes a life form and the holodeck with the incongrous train ...

Even prime Teal'c carried a staff cannon on occasion, he used it to blast Tanith's Alkesh (which caused Teal'c to get stuck in the Stargate, but we got to meet McKay so...win win?).

Upcoming Marvel titles: no elegance?
So, is it just me or do a number of the upcoming MCU entries seem like cheap B-movie titles? I'm talking about: Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Thor: Love and Thunder Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Maybe Shang-Chi isn't as bad, but the rest ce...

Re: TNG - Reunion
Technically, Picard didn't know the super soldiers were going to kill them. Maybe just hold them hostage, force the government to listen.

Re: Stargate SG-1 Review - 1969
I can kind of agree with Chuck on it. It's not bad, but there's not a lot to it. They lay down the basis for SG time travel, but that's about it. Chuck is right, the episode is mostly our heroes running around with some hippies and occasionally saying funny things in funny voices. And there's nothin...

Re: Wait until sfdebris gets to Stargate Universe.
Personally, I didn't like SGU Season 1, but I really liked Season 2. I remember for nearly every new episode of season 2, I was talk about how much better they were over the previous ones. I only remember a handful of bad ones. Season 1 was the opposite, the bad outnumbered the good and kind of like...

All I'm going to say about episode 4 right now is this: "The serum amplifies everything that is inside, so good becomes great, bad becomes worse." - Abraham Erskine ~1943

Re: My Biggest Issue with Captain America: Civil War
I think it all hinges on Steve not telling Tony that Bucky killed his parents. Which really is a gamble by Zemo unless he knew for fact that Steve hadn't. Frankly, Steve not telling Tony is a bit out of character for him. It's not completely unrealistic, we all do things "out of character" from time...
