Re: Assurances
When I saw the lead-in on your Twitter page, my heart sank. My immediate thought was that you were quitting. I've been following your show quite faithfully since 2009, and while I haven't been able to contribute very much toward it (the only review I've ever bought was The Three Doctors), it's not o...

Re: Voyager - Random Thoughts
What is the penal system for? It's so we all have an excuse to giggle every time we say the word "penal." On a slightly more serious note, the thing that always stood out to me about this episode is how repeatedly dismissive Inspector Whoever is about the idea of jails in general, and how her societ...

Re: PIC: The End is the Beginning.
I think what they're going for is that the necessary evacuation is so massive, anything done without Starfleet's help is going to be a drop in the bucket: a few individuals saved, but the vast majority still left behind. I'm admittedly only a moderate fan (by which I mean, I've only seen the shows ...

Re: PIC: The End is the Beginning.
I'm fairly convinced that this show started as something that was supposed to stand on its own, until they realized that no one was going to be interested in it, so they shoehorned Picard into it and said, "There he is! Look at him! Please love us!" When the guy who is supposed to be headlining your...

Re: Christmas Show
I knew that there was no way on Bob's green earth that he was going to do it, but part of me was hoping that our congenial host was going to do The Timeless Children this Christmas. You want to talk about the worst of the worst of the worst? You can't sink much lower than that.

Re: TOS - Who Mourns for Adonais?
I would have rated this episode 10\10 if Apollo had taken a page from Zeus' playbook and turned himself into a swan to seduce her.

Picard - Maps and Legends
"Hey, I know what we should do.
Let's completely rewrite a famous part of the lore so that I can stick my own story stuff in it and pretend like it was there all the time."
This is the same reason that nobody likes Chris Chibnall's work.

Re: Picard - Remembrance
I realize I'm coming in way too late on this (maybe I'll repost this comment on the next STP review topic), but I just had a horrible thought: We've seen this era of Trek before, and it looked nothing like this. Voyager:Endgame showed us a future Starfleet set just 2 years before this show starts th...

Re: DS9 - Rejoined
I haven't read everything that everyone that worked on this episode has said, but even if they say otherwise, I doubt that this episode was supposed to be a homosexual allegory, mostly because of the way that 80's and 90's era Trek was terrified of anything gay that didn't happen in the mirror unive...
