Re: So who is going to see the eclipse?
Went to see the 1999 eclipse. The bright, sunny morning turned cloudy by the time it started :( At least I got to see (a bit of) the 2004 transit of Venus, and since there won't be another for a century I'm glad about that. 2117, if I recall right. So actually less than a century. But yeah, our cha...

What's screwing YouTube over are its adverts. Heaven knows how anyone can stomach watching it now without a functional adblocker.

Re: Billionaire drowns in Tesla due to super strong glass
I'm glad there's one less billionare Please tell me that's a joke because you are a pretty nasty piece of work if you think that someone deserves to die just because they have money. I don't think somebody deserves to die for having money. I think you don't become a billionaire without being truly,...

Re: Billionaire drowns in Tesla due to super strong glass
AS for the car, it's rolled in to some water and not been found for four hours. Now I'm no fan of Musk or Tesla but in just how many cars would you be fine with that? There have been other cases of cars ending up in water and people drowning - getting out of a submerged car is a lot hard than people...

I'm glad there's one less billionare but I'm worried because my mom drives a Tesla. You're glad so...

Re: Biden V Trump: the rematch of the century
1) I think that its going to be too close to call. Biden's health and foreign policy towards Israel have wounded him. Just this week in England a by-election was lost by the two main parties because of their stance on Gaza - it is not hyperbole to say that votes will be lost over this. I'll say thi...

Re: Life Expectancy for American Women in the shitter
Sayla, the article just pointed out that the big environmental factors hear are homocide and suicide. Clean living doesn't exactly make you murder proof. Something's seriously messed up about any country where there are enough murders for them to make any noticable difference to average life expect...

I get that, even though personally I like having shelves full to browse through (although my DVDs are all shoved in a cupboard).

Re: Strange New Worlds Season 2
La'an: "This won't make any sense..." Chuck: "But you'll grow up to become Benedict Cumberbatch." Also, fuck me that it's already been 15 years since the first Kelvin film. Even weirder to think that around that time 15 years ago was 1994. Stop making me feel old! Ditto. 15 years?! That's not...
