Puella Magi Madoka Magica (Restorations Commencing - Spoilers included!))
So, since Chuck is bringing up probably one of his most quoted anime reviews again (seriously the TV Tropes entry for Madoka Magica's quote list even included quoting his "Bunnycat is a dick" at one point) I'm curious as to how many people are still thinking of this series. I recall when he first re...

You're not one of the people, than what are you? An aristocrat. Amusing, yet I do wonder if that was just you trying to be humorous or if you seriously have an inflated sense of your own importance and hold yourself above the "rabble" like some bloated self-important South Carolina slaveowner of th...

Re: TNG - Allegiance
For the most part I recall this episode because the two other prisoners had their species added as minor species in Star Trek: Birth of the Federation, with the Mizar literally having a "monument of submission" as their special building for bonuses (ups their allegiance to their ruler) where the Cha...

Re: Dr Who New Year's Special has the lowest ratings for 17 years
I dropped the series midway through Capaldi's last season, though I did go ahead and see his final Christmas Special and thought it wasn't too bad. A part of me wants to give Whitaker a chance, but I've heard that Chobnall had some weird dictums and ideas, like refusing to use any of the traditional...

Final Fantasy XIV
So, anyone playing this game? I've played it off and on since 2015, but especially last year and this, and it was already one of my favorite games in the franchise before the recent expansion Endwalker, which has clinched its spot at the top. While certainly not perfect, as a game telling a story it...

Re: I Believe In You
Why do you have faith in us, Chuck? I don't have faith in me. As you advance in politics, you lose friends. There are only those who wish to use you, and those who you wish to use. How you have managed to walk the paths of power completely untouched is beyond me. I can only assume that you have not...

Re: A Positive Look At: Star Trek Lower Decks
I think we'll still get a fair amount of comedy, but for the season finale they wanted to swing for some extra drama.
And damn, that was a good finale. Season 3 can't come early enough.

Re: MAGA rioters storm the Senate
Riedquat, something needs to be done about the decaying Rust Belt, and there are legitimate grievances here. But that doesn't mean we just sweep this under the rug, "oh let's have unity and just forgive", since all that does is encourage people to think they can do this again.

Re: MAGA rioters storm the Senate
I don't think Trump being gone will magically heal anything. At best, it gets rid of a con man exploiting the situation to appease his ego. And if the Democrats don't go all-in on impeaching him (to bar him from any future office-seeking) then they deserve as much contempt. And maybe it is time for ...
