Re: DS:9 "Extreme Measures"
RE: Genocide There's an early episode of Babylon Five called "Deathwalker" which had the last member of a species of Space Nazis die at the hands of the Vorlons. This was, essentially, genocide on the part of the Vorlons because she's the last of her race. However, she's a Space Nazi and I actually...

Re: What is the relationship between Trek Discovery and Prime Timeline Treklit ?
It’s supposed to take place right before TOS in the prime universe.

Re: The term "Mary Sue" needs to die.
The term is over used. I got tired of it from forum RPGs because it seemed to apply to just about every character. As for Rey, I don't think she's any worse than Akakin or Luke. Star Wars seems to want to sort of outdo itself, and we see that in the characters. I dunno that the whole 'Star Wars writ...

Re: Voyager: The 37s
One thing not mentioned in the video but which has always bugged me about this episode is why did the aliens take Earhart and the others, put them in suspended animation, and then leave them that way on the new planet? Cryogenically suspended humans make for lousy slaves. I always assumed that the ...

Re: Star Trek: The Search for Vulcan
Side note, if so it probably means that supernova didn't just get sucked up into nothing; SpockPrime just made it someone else's problem (although I guess considering how big space is most likely it'd also come out in the middle of nowhere and it'd have dispersed before it effected anyone, although...

Re: (DS9) Penumbra
The incompetence, honestly, goes further than this though. I've never heard a researcher ever say, "Gee, it's too bad I have all of this qualified and capable labor to work with." Instead, research is almost always constrained by resources, and the main constraint is usually expertise and personnel...

Re: Reboot Voyager: A Hypothetical.
Oh, and random episode idea. One planet puts Janeway on trial as she uses the transporter on someone without consent. The people of this world have warp tech and replicators, but refuse to use it on pre-existing organic matter, as they believe that it destroys the soul. I like that. Starfleet just ...
