Re: I have a question to those who want to legalize prostitution

While I do mean regulations as in a rules and standards body I did not necessarily mean for it to be governmental Fair enough. I still maintain that such a thing wouldn't be required as it would happen naturally. well examples of abuses endured by street prostitutes include, Physical abuse by both ...

Re: B5: Confessions and Lamentations

but the fact that basically their entire people are willfully walking into oblivion out of pride sort of numbs me to the tragedy. And then you look at things like the American health system, everything they do to restrict women's bodies (with no input from women) lack of gun control laws, and stanc...

Now that Steve has deciphered the cryptic question of the original poster (I think? I don't know if it's been confirmed that the OP was trying to ask the question Steve clarified) and Fuzzy Necromancer has iterated the fundamental questions that would need to be answered first before any actual disc...

Re: I have a question to those who want to legalize prostitution

I am partially in favor of legalized prostitution. After all in one way or another we use our bodies to earn a living, why not sex as well. However such legalization would have to come with some heavy regulation. While I am very much in favor of legalized prostitution, I am against heavy regulation...

The Time Load -- Meet The Load, a Gallifreyian (but not a Time Lord; he flunked out of the Academy) who stole a TARDIS (really, he just bummed it off a friend to go on a fast food run in the Andromedia galaxy and "forgot" to return it) and travels time and space trying to find snacks, get reception...

I'd also suggest "Civil Defence". It's a nice bottle show and showcases a lot of the characters, including Gul Dukat. Seeing him be a smarmy jerk yet still trying to smooze Kira while called out on it by everyone's favorite tailor is great.

Re: The Matrix

Just because something is abundant as sand in a (sand-) desert, doesn't mean it can be used as easily. You'd still need to mine/extract the stuff and concentrate it to use it in reactors and that needs to be both energetically and commercially viable. True, though thorium ore is easily extracted us...

Re: The Matrix

A fusion reaction releases a huge amount of energy but needs a lot of energy to get it started, which is the main hurdle we face as we try to create a viable fusion reactor. I have heard that there are a few functional fusion reactors but they require so much energy to start the process that they c...

So it's a rogue Military Junta propped up by outside powers. I am mostly ignorant about B5 so I'm wondering, does B5 have any self-sustaining functions? Does it have any greenhouses to produce food? Does it have any light industry? I imagine the merchants pay rent or are taxed (electricity isn't fr...

Re: Star Wars, Highly Illiogical Captain

That's hard to say canonically, as far as I can tell. But it can't be "Jedi" and "Sith", because we have a whole bunch of canon Light and Dark Siders (mostly Dark Siders) who are neither. Is Ashoka Dark Side because she's not a Jedi? Or Light Side because she's not a Sith? Is Ventress Light Side fo...
