People do not like being preached at OR singled out to be pandered to. And you know, if Trump outperformed his standing among minorities in 2020, it sure seems as if higher numbers of POC could be thinking the same thing. The fact the DNC does NOT take the time to actually walk among these communities and get an insight into how they think and feel and operate is all the more proof of that, you know? The right is quite correct when they say the DNC leadership are bigots, because they don't interact with the common people. In this case, like I do.

Because they are pets in the "crazy cat lady who buys a second home to stuff it full of strays she doesn't want to live around" way. They want to care for people they don't like and don't want around them and get off taking care of them. God forbid, though, those people might be able to stand on their two feet, can't have that or else we have no one to care for.

In the latter sense they are like oedipal mothers who sabotage their children's independence by spoiling them so they never leave home precisely because they always want a child around to take care of.

The slums right next to gated communities in SoCal are a good example. Have to champion those poor people's cause in politics for the feels, just so long as they stick to their shitholes, keep voting Dem and don't get into our neighbours unless we want to pay gardeners and maids on the cheap.
