It's suicide and murder on a massive scale for nothing but childish spite. Comparing being prevented from continuing to do so to being the victims of genocide is... well pretty on-brand, honestly.

A great deal changed in our nation when people who viewed the restrictions on government as obstacles to be overcome instead of guides to be followed took power. I've heard people say Woodrow Wilson was the first President to think and act so. But he certainly wasn't the last.Mickey_Rat15 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 15, 2021 12:45 pm The Biden Administration is trying to implement regulations to make it illegal for the unvaccinated to hold a job, by the dubious method of coopting private employers to police and enforce its wants as the federal government does not have the constitutional authority to do this directly.

The way I see it, if they want to work themselves to the bone in an Amazon warehouse for minium wage that their business, but don't act like they have anyone to blame but themselves for it.Frustration wrote: ↑Mon Nov 15, 2021 9:51 pmA great deal changed in our nation when people who viewed the restrictions on government as obstacles to be overcome instead of guides to be followed took power. A great deal has changed when people stopped trying to sneeze under the sneezeguard at salad bars and use bare hands instead of tongues.Frustration wrote: ↑Mon Nov 15, 2021 9:51 pmA great deal changed in our nation when people who viewed the restrictions on government as obstacles to be overcome instead of guides to be followed took power. Seriously though, executive branch power has been expanding for decades and THIS is where you decide to raise alarm bells? Making sure people are inoculated against a plague that has killed 700,000?

I've been "raising alarm bells" for a very long time.

Really you could probably trace the current attitude towards executive power back to Lincoln, because it comes down to the same basic problem: there is a segment of the population who actively refuse to act for the common good or respect the rights and dignity of their fellow citizens unless coerced. So the role of the federal government became, in part, providing that coercion. And as noted upthread as coercive tactics from the federal government goes, "large companies must provide proof all employees are either vaccinated or tested at least weekly" is pretty tame. But of course no Christian conservative could pass up an opportunity to cry oppression while actively harming others.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Mon Nov 15, 2021 11:14 pm

Yeah, it is like when those numbskulls claim america is against the republican the same way the Nazi were against the Jews. If any of them had to face a tenth of what happen all those decades ago they would break down crying, no this is jsut a bunch of cry baby pretending to be the victims because if they didn't they had to accept they were in the wrong.CmdrKing wrote: ↑Tue Nov 16, 2021 1:15 amReally you could probably trace the current attitude towards executive power back to Lincoln, because it comes down to the same basic problem: there is a segment of the population who actively refuse to act for the common good or respect the rights and dignity of their fellow citizens unless coerced. Re: Anti Vaxxers wearing yellow star in protest
That is the point of this whole post. Nazis were actively looking for Jews to round up and kill. Gas chambers, starving to death, killed in a mass grave by gun shot, worked to death as literally slaves in factories. Seperating families with many who did survive never seeing their loved ones again. At best some Jews managed to leave that in time to come to the the US or other countries.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Mon Nov 15, 2021 7:45 pmYep. We're trying to keep them alive. The Jewish world wide population took decades to recover numbers wise.
And it wasn't just Jews either.
But yeah, anti Vaxxers comparing themselves to Jews because Biden. Because Trump. Because whatever.
I got nothing to say here.
