Not too surprising, considering the trajectory autonomous weapon development has been going in. UAVs and UCAVs have been around in some form for decades, and unmanned ground combat vehicles are becoming better and better. Only a matter of time before they're adopted by a major military en masse.

No, what really blows my mind is that fucking Gundam Wing, with it's Mobile Doll subplot, accurately predicted a lot of the controversy and opinions that we're seriously having now with regards to drone warfare.
