Mass shooting at 4th of July parade

Post by hammerofglass »

Six dead, thirty-one wounded, parade was full of police who did nothing.

If this was fiction I'd criticize it for being too on the nose.

So the shooter once threatened to kill his family and the police had to take away 16 knives and a sword. Police also had to come by because he threatened to kill himself.

Oh and when he was a kid, his Mom and Dad fought constantly where the police had to come.

The Dad sponsored him to get his guns. The shooter passed a background check too.

This is the sort of thing when liberals talk about sensible gun control laws. Not taking guns away. You know preventing people like this shooter from getting one.

You know the whole 'mental illness' the pro gun lobby actually insists is the issue? Yet no attempt to fix it?
I got nothing to say here.

Agree,I also think maybe we should stop treating guns like toys while we are at it.

That probably won't go away unfortunately. Guns used to be viewed as tools. Got a farm? Need a gun to keep the wolves away from attacking your livestock. Need it keep the foxes from attacking your chickens.

You need it feed your family especially if you are in a time period where the US was largely still unpopulated. So you had to get your own food even during travel. And of course self defense.

Now they treat it like NERF collector items.
I got nothing to say here.
