Chicago judge drops hate crime charges in Trump supporter torture case

I chalk it up to the poor prosecution rate for hate crimes in the United States. Few hate crimes are prosecuted as such, so one judge throwing charges out isn't all that important over all.

I think it is just because of how completely obvious it is. It really looks like a judge is letting political bias get in the way of their job to me, which does not bode well for any other ruling this judge is going to make.
