Who else can you offer tax breaks for? The middle class always ends up paying most of the total taxes, even with its decline, and there's only so much their taxes can be cut. And the poor don't pay taxes (generally).

I'm not so sure.

I mean the GOP beat the inflation drum massively but did they offer any solutions? Did they have an economic plan other than more tax breaks for the rich?

It was never a choice between rights and the economy. It was both for the Democrats.
Generally when the economy is bad you don't need to actually offer a plan to fix it because it drags down the people currently in charge.

Don't get me wrong whatever the Republicans do would be worse, but it's very clear that the Democrats current game plan very much isn't working.

Inflation is a big deal but the economy has massively improved from Trump with huge job gains.

The GOP struggled because the economy isn't actually bad. Unemployment is nonexistent, wages are rising, the stock market is up, and corporate profits are at record levels. Inflation is an issue, but it's hard to pin that on the Dems with the rest of the civilized world having even higher rates than the US.

Doesn't help the first thing they talked about when they got the slight majority is going after Hunter Biden.

Or that some of the Republican nominees weren't that great. Oz? Snake oil salesman.

Anyone heard about Hershel Walker's tirade on some movie he watched about werewolves and vampires? Yeah...
I got nothing to say here.
