Boris Johnson Quits as MP

Post by clearspira »

He's gone. The lying bugger has quit Parliament before he was pushed.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-65863267

Many have compared Boris Johnson to Trump. Both blonde, both liars, both with criminal charges. However, whilst Trump's charges are technically worse - Boris just attended some parties during Lockdown. He didn't do questionable things to a woman, incite insurrection and store nuclear secrets at home. But in my opinion, what Boris did was morally worse. Because at the end of the day, no one is suprised that the pussy-grabber is in court. But Boris wrote the rules. He called Lockdown. He lied to Parliament and to the people.

And like Trump, its everyone else's fault but his. Its fake news. Its a witch hunt. Its all lies.

As someone who voted for this tit, all I can say is what a disappointment he has been. He had an 80 seat majority and he spaffed it right up the wall. No one has gone from so high to so low in such a short space of time. This picture personifies exactly how i'm feeling right now.

What makes you think his replacement will be any different? "Laws for thee, but not for me" is how all politicians have been since the beginning of time.

You are forgetting both have very questionable hairstyles.

Nice coincidence with Trump's latest indictment today for the classified materials.
I got nothing to say here.

They're dropping like flies. Two more MPs have resigned.

At this rate, clearspira, you're going to have a turn running parliament.

I blame Have I got News for You.

Not for this but that he ever got to be as powerful in the first place by making him palatable. I remember when he was first running for mayor and in the office I was working in everyone loved him for being a funny toff. If you read up about him, even back then, he already had plenty of scandals to his name including helping out to have a journalist assaulted. When I mentioned that though I got no where cause he's such a buffoon that he must be harmless.

Fair play to having the stones to confess to that given his woeful record as London Mayor made it clear that this was never going to go well for anyone that's not dear ol' BoJo. All the evidence was there that he's a self-serving power hungry chancer, who while certainly a lot smarter than Trump is no where near as clever as he thinks he is, but then it was all there publically prior to him being mayor too including from his former boss so go figure.

Still glad he's gone. Sure we might get another like him but you've got to hold people accountable for being a git on this level of gittiness no matter what.

Nah, within a year you'd be apologizing for puppy molestation (whether you'd actually interfered with a puppy or not) and being forced to resign.

As an American, Boris Johnson's outster for covid is like Al Capone for tax evasion. His crimes lying about Brexit and arranging it for the people are far worse but never going to be prosecuted because, well, enough people supported it in the second vote.
