I feel saddened to have to remind you that the administration that processes all those loans employs people. People who have families and life obligations. While debt forgiveness will help a lot of people with some extra pocket change, these kind of decisions often have ramifications.
That's a bit of a "we should drop litter so we can pay people to pick it up" argument. If someone invented a magic potion that cured all diseases I'm afraid I wouldn't be saying "but what about the doctors and nurses?"
You're right. I didn't consider that the absolution of the loan burden to the millions of Americans might weigh more than any accompanying labor cutbacks that result from the downsizing of work. Thank you for helping to clarify.
