Heard that Unity is currently being run by the EA executive who wanted to charge gamers a dollar to reload their weapons on First Person Shooter games. I guess the lesson is that you shouldn't put a person who actively hates customers into running your company.

Yup, John Riccitiello was EA CEO when FIFA 09 launched with loot boxes. What a great guy.
Also, apparently Lockheed Martin also uses Unity, so now they have to deal with the US military industrial complex getting pissed at them.

And the guys who this very military-industrial-complex felt was so tough to deal with, that they needed to be nuked. Twice...

So, Unity stated that games whose proceeds are being donated to charity are except from the fees. Turns out: Planned Parenthood and Childrens Hospitals that offer gender-affirming care (C.S. Mott Children's Hosptial, specifically) don't count as "charities", according to Unity. Gee, I wonder why...?
