Looks like Biden may finally be letting Ukraine use ALL of the tools we've given them.

Whether we agree with the move or not, this is obviously a fuck you from Biden to Trump.
And in other news, Trump's legendary end the war in 24hrs phone call to Putin was either a lie (Putin is denying it ever happened) or completely worthless as Putin then went on to commit one of the worst bombing runs of civilians in the ear so far.
We may have to rethink the extent of how much Trump's friendship is worth to Putin.

News are conflicting on what exactly was allowed. The running theory is, that the area of Kursk is taken off the off-limits list, specifically to hit North Korean troop-aggregations. The White House itself denies that a blanket allowance having been given. It's odd atm.ProfessorDetective wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2024 12:44 pm https://www.reuters.com/world/biden-lif ... 024-11-17/

If that call ever happened, which I doubt, then it probabaly ended like the german chancellor Scholz' latest conference call with Putin: By Russia doing the largest over-night attack on Ukrainian energy infrastructure since the start of the war, literally the same night. There is no peace with Russia without a dismantling of Ukrainian sovereignty. Russia will not stop.clearspira wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2024 4:55 pm Whether we agree with the move or not, this is obviously a fuck you from Biden to Trump.

Ehhh, it's also after Putin has started deploying 10,000 North Korean soldiers to refill his military ranks in exchange for Russian technology among other benefits. Which massively upgrades the North Korean military arsenal from shit from the 1950s to shit from the 1980s as well as threatens to destabilize the military balance of power in the Korean region. Which is to say that people are bitching about biden escalating things but Putin is constantly escalating things.Whether we agree with the move or not, this is obviously a fuck you from Biden to Trump.
The problem is Putin is effectively in full on sunk cost fallacy. He's sent 20x the number of Afghanistan War dead to their deaths in Ukraine and has shown no sign of being willing to negotiate in good faith or back down from any points.
Plus the constant nuclear saber rattling that is never treated as inflammatory.
Re: The Russian Invasion of Ukraine
Which proves that when Trump said he could end the war in Ukraine would mean that Trump effectively gives Ukraine to Putin.
I will very surprised is Trump manages to get Putin to withdraw from Ukraine and only then I would have to ask what did Trump give up?

I got nothing to say here.

Science Fiction is a genre where anything can happen. Just make sure what happens is enjoyable for yourself and your audience.

Re: The Russian Invasion of Ukraine
Musk notably laughed in a Tweet to Zelensky making a statement that the US can't force Ukraine to make any concessions. The thing that Trump's leverage is less than he might think as Ukraine continues to get more and more support to fight. The real issue is public support for the war remains high but is growing for territorial concessions and a negotiated peace.
The problem with THAT is any terms that Putin will agree to are almost certainly unreasonable (his "De-Nazification" plan undoubtedly is code for murdering everyone who isn't his puppet)

I'm just gonna be relieved if the Republicans don't deploy troops in Ukraine on Putin's side.

I have a feeling that after January there will be no more support for Ukraine. Zelensky committed the ultimate sin of not giving Trump dirt on Hunter Biden and now he will be punished for it.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2024 7:27 pm I'm just gonna be relieved if the Republicans don't deploy troops in Ukraine on Putin's side.
