It's a story that let's you assign blame instead of recognizing that there are people who didn't feel particularly enthusiastic voting for Kamala given all that was going on and instead decided to not get in line for three hours to go vote.

The problem is that Trump ending up getting more votes than he did in the previous two elections. That is despite media portraying that Trump might lose voters due to getting tired of his antics. Trump actually gained voters. Harris lost voters over Biden from 2020.

So the question is did Harris lose moderate voters to Trump? How many Republican voters actually didn't vote or voted anyone but Trump? How many Democrat voters actually did not show up to vote?
I got nothing to say here.

Still waiting to hear he died from an overdose. That would really brighten my day.

I'm still betting on a fire in his personal Tesla that he gets locked into. No one will ever know if it was an assassination or because Teslas famously just do that randomly.

Actually I want Elon Musk and Trump to actually hate each other. Have the nastiest divorce possible. I want all of their waking days going at each other. That would be actually fun to see. Also the flip the MAGA will have to do to support their cult leader will be entertaining in itself.

I hate that I'm even on this part of the forum and like even less that I'm writing this because I truly hate being terrible but William Harrison had one of the shortest runs as he died after 90 days. Maybe we'll get lucky and Trump's second term will be as long and Vance and Musk start going at each other?

Again hate that I'm even writing this but one of my friends took his own life when Trump took over again (he was trans a solider who only got back into the Army 3 years after Trump lost the 2020 election) and I'm holding Trump responsible for his death. I rarely do this but I truly wish ill on him.

I mean, Harrison made the extremely foolish decision to give a long inauguration speech outside on a very cold day. Then he caught a bad cold and died. Trump decided against doing the inauguration outside because it was a cold day.

Well, we don't know for sure, but: 6.26 million people voted for Biden in 2020 didn't vote for Harris. Trump gained 3.1 million voters, and 3.19 million voters presumably stayed home. We also know that there were more eligible voters in 2024. How many? Well, we're not sure, but the election lab at the University of Florida estimates the voting eligible population at 240.6 million in 2020 and 244.6 in 2024.

If Harris won everyone who stayed home, the election result would have been the same. If we pretend Trump gained only new voters and 6.26 million voters got off their duff and voted for Harris, the election result would be the same.

Who Trump won over is an unanswerable question, but we can know this: the election was tipped by people who voted for Trump, and not people who sat out after 2020.

The sad truth is, what a lot of people DON'T want to say but is just a fact... America WANTS this. I don't, I believe everyone who messaged here don't, my family doesn't, and tens of millions of Americans don't... but we SAW what Trump was. We all knew what he wanted. He said so. He won. He won the popular vote. Americans WANT this... and I wish I could explain. I could go into a 20,000 word essay on why all this festering hate has boiled up, link The party switch and all, the failure of Reconstruction, Andrew Jackson... but I won't. I just can't fathom why so many Americans saw the dumbest man alive, who was full of hate and WEAKER than wet tissue paper... and cream themselves and act like he was the cock of the walk. I wish I could. But I can't. I guess people wanted a loser as President.

It's often said that elections are lost, not won. So I don't think it's fair to say that America wants Trump, it's more accurate to say that they didn't want the alternative. We see this a lot, and I can understand the unease and dislike (but not the short-sightedness in thinking that the alternative isn't far worse). And as long as people keep blaming people for that people like Trump will keep getting elected.

From what I can tell is that two main things why voters voted for Trump outside just voting for him because he is the Republican nomination and he is Trump is: Border security or immigration. The second is to combat woke. The whole DEI, trans, gay etc thing that they were actively working against for awhile now.

We can also go into the whole dismantling of the government too. The economy? Nah that was a lie and they knew it too. Just an excuse. More like just owning the libs.

As far as MAGA is concerned right now is that Trump is winning. He is doing the things that they like. The fact that the liberals don't like Musk is also a bonus.
I got nothing to say here.
