Voyage to Blockbuster is pratically a Futurama episode in itself, but without the time travel. Instead Fry (because he saw some originally) helps write a script for the episode and they perform it.

You know, given all the hoping, waiting, and grief people went through, it would be a real crying shame if we all lost The Web of Fear after we found it again. =/

As far as concrete matters, the best thing we can do on a personal scale for preservation is to support libraries. From the local library to the Library of Congress, public libraries are defenders of information preservation as much as big entertainment companies are enemies of it.
