Re: Trump to launch the United States Space Force
Bah! We spend so much on the military budget already. This is just sad that they're wasting more taxpayer dollars on this.

The Space Force sounds unnecessary and expansive.

The Space Force might just be a consolidation of current Air Force space efforts and the navy's Naval Network and Space Operations Command. It's all pretty much up in the air (no pun intended) right now.

But there is still not enough to warrant a creation of another branch.Darth Wedgius wrote: ↑Wed Jul 04, 2018 6:05 pm The Space Force might just be a consolidation of current Air Force space efforts and the navy's Naval Network and Space Operations Command. And this is pretty much what I have been trying to say for a while here. This is already being covered by the Air Force (and possibly the Navy but I don't know for sure) and there isn't enough material and/or expansion to warrant the creation of a seprate military branch. I know that the last military branch to be created was the Air Force, which had roots in the Army Air Corps (that was used in WWII) but there was enough to warrant the creation of a fifth miliatry branch (the Air Force) and I believe it was Truman (or maybe Ike?) who ordered that the Air Force would keep and maintain the nukes as well. Currently, the Air Force has the Air Force Space Command and they have no need for a sixth military branch at all. Also, did you know that the Air Force has their own astronauts?
