So here goes. Everyone who is under reasonable suspicion of crime is detained prior to trail which can take months. If people have crossed the border illegally, they have broken the law. The process for determining this is the same as with any other crime. If they are seeking asylum, there is a process for that, and it takes time. Children are being separated from adults during this process, because (and it floors me that the rape-obsessed "progressives" don't seem to consider this) they may not actually be the children of the adults they were with, but may in fact be the victims of sex trafficking. That's due process in action there, so, yeah, I'm all about that.
