It's a compromise. Are you capable of understanding that? There are pros and cons of them wearing masks, and this Sheriff decided the cons outweighed the pros.

As far as the cultish obsession with identity politics... Who are you? I can't think of anyone more obsessed with identity politics than Fuzzy Necromancer.
