Yes. I expect occasional carelessness from any large agency, but actual malice would be more dangerous. However, I have no idea how difficult it is to get arrest records from what I assume would be a state database. Do you? Also, he was not accused of diddlery, kid or otherwise.

And the flip side of this is that people who shouldn't be in the sex offender registry are on there, such as teens who have taken nude photos of themselves, who are convicted of possessing child pornography.

Admiral X, how is any of that relevant to THIS CASE? Did you hear that this man posted nudes on grindr when he was a teen or took money for sexual services?

For me, the point is that they put somebody who jerks off to little children in charge of a large group of children who are isolated from any caretaker and anyone who will advocate for their interests and locked up in an institution. This seems like a no-brainer to me.

As far as what is a no-brainer, I'd say it's pretty obvious that this is not what you make it out to be. This person was charged but never tried, and yet based on either the accusation or evidence (I hope), he was removed from his position when this information came to light. I see no evidence that this a case of a pedophile being knowingly placed into this position. I also see no evidence of apathy. Again, this person was very quickly removed from their position when relevant information came to light.
