I know, but it's extra salt in the wound when the President you get to meet is Donald Trump.

It was so funny seeing Nate Silver (of fivethirtyeight, a statistical analysis website that does a lot of political survey data processing) comment on Twitter that he would personally think it was kind of cool having McDonald's at the White House. The replies to it were just insane, apparently any non-negative comment regarding Trump makes you right-wing to some people. That level of fanaticism is far more absurd than seeing stacks of Big Mac boxes on a silver platter.

Look, I will celebrate the day he is removed from office and put almost all of the blame for this shutdown on him. I'm not a fan, is what I'm saying. However, serving fast food to a college football team is odd at worst. It's a unique story these guys will laugh about with their grand kids one day, that's worth something at the very least.

The food was cold, man. You ever eat COLD mcdonalds french fries?

It's not a war crime or an atrocity or anything, but it is Weird, and this has been a very, very, VERY strange presidency, and you'll notice my original post asked "Is this weird? It seems really weird to me."

I guess some people, not even fanatics, like Trump because, his money aside, he acts like an average joe in a few rare instances, like how he doesn't act "elitist" in talk (I'm referring to dignified and regal, which some interpret the Presidency to be, another elite), and he eats average food. Some like that. Because our leaders can sometimes feel disconnected from us. Obama was too damn smart for his job, to the point you couldn't relate to him because he felt like a far-seeing and all-knowing god, not an average joe. Trump is more relatable in a few ways, the good and the bad. Like being full of flaws, that some people just wanna excuse him because they see those flaws in themselves, and don't wanna be judged. I'm not condoning this, btw. I'm just speculating. I'm trying to be understanding. I certainly don't relate to Trump, but I think trying to reach out to his base rather than spit on them... that's the key to achieving harmony on this planet. Try to make peace with people you disagree with, even loathe. I wish we could do that as a species.

I just don't see the problem. Have we really reached the point where Trump eating a Big Mac is now controversial? And please make up your minds. Is Trump someone who is wasting your money or isn't he? Seems to me that his McDonalds just saved the taxpayer money.

It's not about him eating big macs, its about him serving cold fast food to other people. And it's not saving the taxpayers any money, because he paid for it himself as a big generous gesture in the face of the government shutdown he created.

Obama was too smart? What? He wrecked the social fabric so bad her was followed by Trump.

I don'tr care if he would had been able to fit in to a Ming Dynasty court. Slick Willy is literally 10 times the politician he was.
