There literally are tree farms, though. I forget the type of trees they grow, but the whole point of them is that they grow very quickly. It's what the majority of paper is made out of.

I think pine usually? *googles* yes, although there is some concern about using pine in terms of pesticide runoff and similar factors so there’s some talk of diversifying.

They do still take a few years, so there’s careful management involved, but in the other hand demand for paper isn’t likely to skyrocket anytime soon either.
