CCP really likes using NK for it's own benefit. They are pretty much reason why NK has nuclear weapons.

Looks more like N Korea is that embarrassing relative to China that they'd really prefer would behave a bit but they grit their teeth and have to support.

They're afraid that the second NK falls, SK will roll right in and let the USA put bases right on the now Chinese/Korean border. Better to prop up a clown show the have another superpower at your doorstep.

Definitely that too. All adds up to China supporting North Korea through gritted teeth though.

I remember when Gaddafi died I wanted to make a youtube slideshow of pictures of him to Sarah Mclachlan's I Will Remember You. The live song is popular so when the crowd starts cheering in the middle of the song I was gonna have a picture of him shaking hands in an embracing photo with GW.
