Yeah, this is...
*sigh*
To be fair, he might have wanted to keep working. Maybe he figured that if he was going to die young, he would rather have a few years in a blowout movie as a legacy than to just fade away.
I hope that's the case, and he enjoyed every day he worked.

If someone gets colon cancer that early in life, it means there is a risk factor, which could be a family trait, so the usual "start when you are fifty" does not apply to your immediate family. (and in my case at least the existence of a risk factor meant that insurance covered it).

This hits close to home for me because my brother had colon cancer at 44 (he's fine now), and as a result I started getting colonoscopies the day before my 30th birthday. I had my 3rd last year (I'm 41 now), and they removed 2 polyps.
Related but unrelated I guess. I get colonoscopies due to my mother's side having Crohn's disease. My Mom has it, her brother had it, and my cousin has it (Mom's sister's kid). So we all get checked.

Then my Dad's side we have breast cancer. So the women on that side gets checked. My Dad's mom died from it.

I think Chadwick's family is definitely getting themselves checked or you would hope. Then again colonoscopies suck.

That being said, he was a true highlight of Civil War. I did like him as Jackie Robinson. That's the only two movies I watched him in. But I always thought he was a true up and coming actor.
I got nothing to say here.
