It's so wrong that concluding with the obvious logical outcome of the stated situation is treated by you people as though it's a sign of psychological illness.
Because humans are unreasonable, anything that allows them to suppress their (quite reasonable) fears about unsustainable strategies and soothe themselves with the delusion that any shortage problem will be overcome without having to curtail their lifestyles because someone will make a fortuitous discovery that won't have any unwanted effects is a bad thing.

I said nothing about your psychological wellbeing.
Nobody said this was a panacea, they just posted a bit of good news and you pissed on it like a dog trying to establish dominance.

We had to restrict the use of phosphates as fertilizers and as ingredients in stuff because of the ecological damage large amounts of the nutrient causes in runoff. Now you expect us to treat discovery of a large deposit of phosphates as good news?
All this means is that people will be encouraged to use the stuff, and discouraged from finding alternatives or ways to safely recycle the material.

That’s why we designated you as head phosphate ecological guy. So you could tell the Eu about this historical fact and make sure it never happens again.

It would be more useful to make sure Europe never happens again. Followed by everywhere else.

Well after the industrial revolution I think it’s quite safe to say that Europe is here to stay.
