Calling Trump charismatic is just weird. He babbles incoherently, talks about some of the most random shit possible for a presidential candidate (or a president for that matter). That if you just read the transcripts, it is truly baffling in how he could be considered charismatic.
At best you could say he sounds better to some because he doesn't sound like a politician. Or the way he speaks I mean.

I got nothing to say here.

No-one sounds charismatic to those that can't stand them and their opinions in the first place. But for some reason he's certainly got enough people cheering him on, and there's quite a cult of personality going on there too and it's hard to see how that can be achieved without it.McAvoy wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 10:09 pm Calling Trump charismatic is just weird. I suspect it's all part of the "I'm one of you!" act. I can see why that appeals to some even though I don't see why anyone falls for it. Well I do to a degree - it's a case of looking at the world in black and white and not liking the look of one side - perhaps with good reason, perhaps not - and thus going to the other no matter how ridiculous, extreme, or nasty it is.
Re: The Keys to the White House
"I am one of you" act I can sorta buy as I have seen so many of his supporters act like this self proclaimed billionaire is just like them despite the fact that most of them are living in places Trump would never ever allow himself to even get out of the car to visit. I think it's more that he is talking about things they weren't allowed to talk about themselves for obvious reasons. I that they think is really is a successful businessman.Riedquat wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2024 12:35 pmNo-one sounds charismatic to those that can't stand them and their opinions in the first place. Its as if they sowed their whole life into this one man. Their identity is now a Trump supporter. Doesn't help having Fox News, OAN, Newsmax etc reinforcing that echo chamber.
They really are in a cult.
