Well there that is that argument and it is an old one as well. You are right hardly anyone will answer except 'well she should have closed her legs'. Nevermind, broken condoms happen all the time, birth control like the patch or IUD can be neutralized (how my youngest niece came to be in fact, but she was very much welcomed).CharlesPhipps wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2025 4:49 amFor me, I've lost all faith in their side.McAvoy wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2025 3:34 am
When it comes to abortion I will give it a pass as far as evil. When we talk about gay or trans rights then it will be different.
My stance is that I understand both sides and there is real merit in it. No I am no talking about medical reasons abortions. That is a separate issue.
I get it, it should be a woman's issue. She is carrying the fetus, have to birth it and then have to deal with it. Whether the father is in the picture or not. As well already having children in the system without a family. So I get it. Truly do.
But I also get the argument of killing that fetus or in their context - baby. Human baby. We value human life over all other life. In their view, it murdering a baby. Doesn't matter if that that baby is weeks old in the womb or freshly born. In their view it's the same thing.
So I get it. And that is why it's a hot topic. Even among women.
But this is just shows it wasn't about giving the decision back to the states but just a stepping stone to a country wide ban. We all knew Trump was lying through his teeth when he said he was bringing it back to the states. He was just using that issue to reinforce his position among the Far Right.
I am curious on what Trump may do. He is pretty wishy washy with this issue but he may have been that due to concern about voters. Now he is in? With a Republican held government?
Because no one can answer:
* Are you doing anything for the care of unwanted children?
* Are you caring for the health of the mother in the laws you propose?
* What about the care of children for lunches.
This is also only the GOP lawmakers.
The laws they propose do not seem to understand that laws that kill women, kill the fetuses too.
Nope. They just don't care once the child is born. They are Pro-Birthers, not Pro-Life.
