You can say that there weren't as many women candidates because of it, but she was a shoe-in for one of two of the most powerful organizations that select for candidates, and it was because of her experience.
The thing to remember about 2016 is that Clinton lost by Around 300,000 votes split between three states. At that margin basically any immediate cause (lack of ground game, not catering to the white working class hard enough, embittered Sanders voters, Trump motivating that racist non-voter, unusually high third party voting, several more) are ALL true. Any of this factors being diminished would have changed the outcome.

Misogyny covers several of those, though not all.
Patriarchy covers all of them.
(I’m being cheeky of course: Patriarchy is a technical umbrella term that covers a lot of things, so if you dig enough on any issue Patriarchy will often be a root cause)
Well to be fair, Clinton's assessment that Comey reopening the case is the crucial stabbing does actually point to a potential systemic undoing, given that the attention given to the emails was laiden with misogyny.

Well, here, take a consolation prize."

I didn't say all men were evil and you're falsely labeling me. But I do see a system of patriarchy and misogyny and it cuts me deeply. It is also perpetuated by the women who help them, who should know better, but don't act on it.

I could've sworn you once said you wanted to, were going to, because you were fed up. Or something like that. I'll unblock you then.

Well, isn't electing a qualified woman something we all want? To finally break that gender barrier? The reason I'm not trying to sell anyone on this is that I've given up. 2016 was hell. I was worried all along she'd lose, I'd see Obama's progress torn to shreds, and that little girls all over the country and the world would be spat on, and lo and behold, that's what happened. That's not something you get over overnight. I'm not convinced the worst won't happen in this election either. So I'm not even going to bother trying. Not even going to get involved. I'm hoping Harris or Warren will win. But I'm not voting. I don't want to. After 2016, I gave it up.

I don't recall using a whole lot of hyperbole.

LittleRaven, why did you have to do this? I am so not ready to deal with the reality of the upcoming election, and it starts earlier every year. It's worse than the mid-October Christmas sales.

Politically oriented discourse concerning systemic discrimination being framed as gangs against whites is pretty overt hyperbole. I think it's a bit less exaggerated than girls being spat on, but then again Yuka's outlook in general can be considered a bit exaggerative.

I'm playing the game just like you are. Ain't none of us get to make the rules.

But yes, it does get worse every time.
