You've got that backwards. You'd do better to do some reading on the topic than listening to anyone here; you'd do better to listen to me than anyone else here.

Half of adult IQ is attributable to genetics. The other half is due to random developmental factors, once things like heavy metal poisoning and poor nutrition are excluded. Most of what we think of as 'environment' simply doesn't matter in the long term.
