"Supreme Court has voted to overturn abortion rights, draft opinion shows"

A conservative member of the US Supreme Court has mocked world leaders who criticised last month's ruling that overturned American abortion rights.

This one is funny. Here's my favourite quote: Referring to religious liberty, he said it was "under attack in many places because it is dangerous to those who want to hold complete power".
He has to know he's talking about himself here. That's a way too on-the-nose description of what he's doing and why, this has got to be a joke.

I mean just trying to take it into consideration, that kind of reasoning makes more sense if you're trying to structure a homeowner's association instead of widespread foundation of law.

Bridging religious freedom to an implied public standard of abstinence doesn't follow through.

Attack on religious liberty is just code word of losing using Religion as a source of power. Using it to dictate things you want.
I got nothing to say here.

I thought that this was an interesting read. I think there is this perception that most Pro-Lifers are Boomers, but here is an article on the Zoomers who campaigned against Roe V Wade. Instead of approaching it from a Conservative viewpoint, Zoomers by-and-large actually consider banning abortion to be a form of social justice.

(Quote) Jess Meeth, who works for the campaign group Democrats for Life, considers herself "whole life" rather than "pro-life" because she supports life "from womb to tomb," she said. "It really honestly wasn't until the year of 2020 that my eyes were opened," she said, referring to the murder of George Floyd by a police officer that set off a wave of anti-racism protests.
"With all these other social justice issues, I found myself being more left leaning and I realised that they all go hand in hand as, if we as a society respect life before birth, then we will respect life after birth," the 26-year-old said. Such attitudes could even lead to people re-examining their views on gun violence and racism, she said. (Unquote)

I'm not making any point here. I just thought it is fascinating to bring this away from our biases about what a Pro-Lifer or a Pro-Choicer actually is in reality.

This isn't new, other than the modern terms they've been using these talking points since the 70's.
